Neil Cohen June 1999 (Neil passed away on July 28th, 2001)

It's almost miraculous to be able to read these remembrances and recall
almost everyone from a time that seemed so long ago, but yet was just
yesterday. I came to the New Division as a young person quickly going
nowhere. At the New Division I was able to catch my breath, make some life
long friends, meet my future wife and continue along my path, slowly going
somewhere. All in all, not a bad use of my time!

Lynn Faust and I met, became friends, then best friends and eventually
husband and wife, in 1972. She captured my heart and soul and the rest of me
came along very happily. Now we have three children, two daughters 21 and
19, and a son 14. I am immensely proud of all of them and extremely happy
with life. Lynn has an M.A. from Notre Dame (she came on a football
scholarship) and an MSSW degree and works in a family therapy clinic and in
the school system as a Social Worker. I taught college for nine years, PhD
in Psychology, but then went into the financial counseling business where I
am having a very good time, paying my bills and doing a lot of people a lot of
good.

For all of you who entered the ND in 1968, and then went elsewhere when it
fell apart, I am sorry I never met you. I was in Israel for the year, and
came back to graduate in 1970. To Bud Haggard, I miss you, love you and hope
that you found your eternal rest. To Bruce Berkholtz (sp?) and Ben Beck I
want to say hello. I remember you both very fondly and thought that you were
both wonderful teachers. To everyone else that I knew, connections have
become a way of life for me. Please contact me and let's reconnect.

Much love and thanks for the opportunity to say "hello, again."
